Our Company

Midwest Reserve Hops was founded in 2021 with a simple mission – encourage the use of Midwest-grown hops in the craft beer industry. Our team is small, but we are growing quickly and adding new customers daily. 

 

 Our company started as a small hops farm in Northeast Ohio, Spearhead Hops, but due to military service commitments we were no longer able to remain on the farm and moved into a distribution role instead. Today, our team is located in Norfolk, VA, but will likely relocate again soon due to service requirements.

Tommy bio

Tom Pochedly

Growing up on a 500-acre farm in Ohio, Tom knows the ins-and-outs of agriculture in the Midwest. He has 7 years of experience growing hops in Ohio. After joining the Navy, he moved from hops farming to hops distribution. 

Crystal Pochedly

With years of experience in customer-centric industries including the travel and food and beverage industries, Crystal focuses on ensuring Midwest Reserve Hops provides an unmatched customer experience. 

Drunkle Sam

Legend has it, Drunkle Sam was once a loyal fan of various US cheap beers. After trying a few beers at Homebrew Con 2022, his eyes were opened to the wonders of craft beer. He works tirelessly on social media to go after cheap beer and promote the use of Midwest Reserve Hops.
